Blue's sprites (all 3 of them) were also changed to look consistent with the official art and between each other
Now Erika is a very special case since as you might remember her Red/Blue sprite has her floating a ball with her eyes closed, which makes no sense. Closer inspection to her sprite reveals that her yukata is folded the same way as corpses are during funerary ceremonies. According to early design documents her gym was meant to be placed in Lavender Town, suggesting she was meant to be a ghost-type trainer
The Yellow sprite only ever altered the yukata but kept everything else the same (even the floating ball) and they retconned her closed eyes as her just being narcoleptic lol
