But yes. You can transfer the mons to the new "bank" but only pokemon found in the galar region will be able to go from the bank to sword/shield. Once your mons from previous games are in the new bank, they are stuck until gamefreak MAYBE puts a random selection into a future game, which will change from game to game. Enjoy never using 95% of mythicals ever again, plus never being able to use a team of all your favorites.
