Wow, I've been going through this thread and now I feel like a total simpleton with my measly less-worldly Pokémon fantasy, everybody's responses seem so well thought-out and profound I'm honestly pretty blown away. I respect everyone's willingness to share, admire your visions of idealism, and I'm thankful that OP made this thread.
That being said, I think I'd want to be a Flareon or something. I feel pretty indulgent writing that because, I dunno, it's just wrong to want to be this adorable thing just because. A world where I'm going on expeditions with a partner Pokémon just like in PMD sounds a whole lot more entertaining than what's out here. Getting to meet a bunch of other cool Pokémon, going out to see distant places that have barely been touched by society, just because. Getting to share special moments like those where the partner Pokémon and I could appreciate the vistas from the top of a mountain, or bask in the glow of a morning sky.
No matter what adversaries we'd face, I'd get to confide in my partner that we make it out of anything. And going on some distant trek across the continent, finding ourselves in the middle of a rainstorm at night, so we just cuddle up together beneath some foliage, everything glimmering in some kind of moonlight, that's the tightest shit.
I'm not quite sure who the partner Pokémon would be. Another Eeveelution sounds fitting, or it might be the Pikachu that was in my playthrough of Explorers of Sky. Maybe a cute Leafeon or something.
