The infamous house in Unova doesn't belong to her either BTW. Anyway let's look at all the pokemon she's used to see if we can find a theme:

I think the point of this is to demonstrate that Cynthia is a noble, caring individual. Her hair thingies also match his dreadlocks. (I have a theory that Lucario was originally intended to be her ace, but got changed at some point in development)
