Compare these two for even a second and you can tell things are totally different.
Gen 5 actually sort of sticks to the old style, where everything is clunky and grey with robotic parts and a mostly-antiquated interface, whereas gen 6 is this futuristic-looking tablet that expands and contracts like nothing else in our world
It’s a noticeable shift in aesthetic and I don’t know why it was done
I remember thinking it looked really cool as a kid, but nowadays I’m just glad I got a toy of the gen 5 pokedex and not gen 6’s
That shit feels so fun to use with how it slides open and closed
