The reason why Kyurem's current fusions don't look stable is because they aren't: it only has one half of its old strength and body with no counterbalance, which is reflected in its asymmetry (which I think is also part of why most people consider it overdesigned). The arm/wing that was frozen on one fusion is thawed on the other. You could say that they're, in a literal sense, "half-baked". If it was in its true form, it most likely wouldn't have any ice on it and look smoother and more symmetrical, and probably much more appealing to the eye. Pic is a fanartist's feasible example, IMHO.
