Ugh God I wish there was a new protagonist every new gen instead of Ash every time. That way they could still have a kid protagonist and also make time realistically pass instead of having twenty years' worth of episodes take place within a single year. We also wouldn't have to worry about all of this shipping nonsense since there'd only be one clear option per protagonist
