I used to write a lot but I kind of gave up after school got heavier, and never tried anything because I'm always worried about not nailing the characters that well since I'm a lore and canonfag. I recently have tried my hand at some fancomic since some friends liked a gag I did and wanted to expand on the idea, and still feel a bit nervous about fucking it up. Or spending like 10 years into completing the story like those nuzlocke comics.
Also about the MaxiexMay fic, maybe I'm biased but I cringe a bit more with the reboot than with the original, mostly because the reboot went really crazy on the second half with re-adapting the red orb into a weird mix of RSE/ORAS/manga... thing. I really just wish the author would have finished the original fic instead.
