Answer to both is May. I was born in 90, so I was 13 when I got Ruby version. I liked her athletic look, but the anime really did it. It had a higher quality art style and her body is basically designed to trigger the 'desire to breed' response, what with the full chest, nice butt in spats, and child bearing hourglass figure. Just did it for me.
