I fall somewhere in the latter two. I like them in principle, but hate that they have appeared without reason (leaving room for only the meta-reason of being a gimmick), and overall most of the actual regional Pokemon are pretty underwhelming (not least because of the amount).
A-Ninetales is still the best, though.
