It's just Japanese cuntery. It's the same problem in Splatoon 2. People wanted Salmon Run to stop being time dependent and run 24h, well the devs just gave the middle finger and said they envision the way you play their game and they are right and you are wrong.
it's textbook the same shit here. They do that japanese cuntery because they can, they think in their head that because they're making the decisions, it has to be the right one.
