>>44314546Just beat my first ever monotype run, hacked a Black 2 rom to start with Dwebble and so trade evos could evolve by level up instead (so I could use Escavalier and Accelgor if I wanted to), otherwise left everything as-is. When I reached the E4 everyone was level 55 but Crustle was a fucking beast and nearly solo'd the entire E4 and Champion, hence the level disparity. Shell Smash + Sturdy is OP.
All in all I had a lot of fun this run, never really encountered any real wall or problems, outside of needing to catch a Water type for the mandatory surf section after the 8th Gym. Gen 5 has the best and most well-rounded Bug type roster out of any generation.
I'll probably go clear most of the post-game with these guys, but do you have any other monotype run suggestions, especially for gen 5?
