Some of my favorites:
A connection between Dakim and Alder- They both have similar hair, jump off mountains, and wear Pokeball necklaces (A trait other members of Alders family have). Plus Orre and Unova are likely close to each other, since they're based on places in America
Orre is a post-nuke society- Pokemon can survive in the desert but there aren't any wild pokemon in Orre. Plus at the beginning of Colosseum you can see some destroyed structures in the sand. This is very common for post apocalyptic games/shows.
Wes betrayed his team because he loves his pokemon too much- His Pokemon start out with max friendship and Espeon has return. Perhaps they wanted to Shadow-fy his pokemon and he didn't want it. There's a similar theory with Miror B and his Ludicolos, since none of them were shadow.
Normally game based theories are fucking retarded but the Colosseum ones all seem to plausible.
