1st Gen: Best starters in terms of first forms, the final forms are better in other Gens.

3rd Gen: Well, the first forms are bretty gud, but out of the final ones I only like Blaziken (although he's my favorite Fire-type after Volcarona). I feel neutral about Swampert and don't like Sceptile very much. I prefer Grovyle.
>4th Gen: Ew overdesigned. I love Chimchar and Torterra, though. Their other evolved stages, not so much.
>5th Gen: It has my favorite Water-type, Samurott, and Tepig is the best first-stage Fire starter after Charmander. Too bad his evolutions are the worst things to come out of the franchise's asshole
>6th Gen: Can't say much for the final forms, but I love Fennekin and Chespin. I like Froakie too, but I prefer the other two. Hope their evolutions hold up the good design (they probably won't)
