That is a tough one, I never really have a specific ace, just a big bunch of VSP's, very solid pokemons, but there are just so many good ones I simply can't have only one specific best pokemon. There are some that stand out though from time to time, but for me if I had really good memories with a pokemon in one playthrough, rather than using thr same pokemon over and over again I want to give other pokemon a chance, and then you end up with lots of those awesome pokemon. Recent ones that stand out specifically much, shiny Revavroom I my first ever playthrough of Violet + a few other SV playthroughs, Garchomp in my ground types only run of Violet, I had not used Garchomp before that because it's everyone's favorite, and then a very specific Quagsire with yawn, curse, focus punch and stomping tantrum in a random playthrough. Oh and Flapple, I love that flying apple out of all the apple pokemon
I have this thing where in each game I try to eventually have a full shiny team by the end battles, so usually the teammembers I build memories with end up boxed by the end, unless I just need to have that pokemon and I replace thr normal one with the same pokemon but shiny, like recently in Violet in my latest playthrough.
I've played through SV 8 times now combined, but favor Violet because I only bought dlc for Violet
