Adding a bridge, making one of the thick patches of trees into a rock formation, and turning one of the ledges at the end into a big hill, it's still very recognizably the same route but it's been fleshed out from when they had 8-bit limitations. I feel this is how remakes should focus on redoing the regions, keeping everything recognizable and keeping the feel the same while being more interesting.
