I have found that keeping impossible standards for games tends to make you hate gaming more often than not. I grew up with the original brick gameboy with red and gold, so generally everything looks good to me these days, and the only thing I have been comparing this game to is past pokemon games like Sun/Moon. The difference if you'll forgive the pun is like night and day. I see the things that look janky, but it looks fantastic otherwise, everyone is expressive, no more permanent smile stapled to the MCs face
