Which makes sense when you consider that it was a demo version and it's bad practice to send whatever version you're at right when the demonstration is about to occur. You don't want to go to E3/ Spaceworld/ investors and show a potential game breaking bug that occurs because you decided to alter some critical piece of code 2 days prior, what tends to happen is that some time in advance you set a date for when the demo is to be completed and fix up as many things in the version you have at that point in time, that way you're sure that no new feature will fuck up in front of everyone.
