For a particular format maybe 2500 bst is the team limit. When you go to select your team of ≤ 6 mons you need to take the total sum of their base stats into account. Say you bring a core of three starters, each at 530 bst. This leaves 910 points left for your last 3 team members. Maybe you choose a 600 bst pseudo, which leaves you with only 310 points to play with for your remaining 2 members, just enough for one more stage 1 shitmon. Then you consider bringing 2 450 bst mons, but that leaves you with only 5 members. So maybe you go back and exchange one of your core 530 bst mons for a lower bst alternative.
That's the core of the idea. Is it complete shit? Is their a good morsel in there somewhere?
