At least not the pokemon we have now.
Sprites are tiny so the rest is left to your imagination. A 2D route feel gigantic because your head fills the blank and two tree might as well be TEN in the real world.
However, with the X/Y 3D you can move freely and you notice how small the city feels and how blocky everything is.
I can't believe Squaresoft managed to successfully transition to 3D as soon as the PS1 was released but gamefreak still can't figure it out.
