So I thought that my team was on par with Tate and Liza, but it turns out we were 4 levels below.
I teamed up on the Solrock, and Lunatone used Light Screen
Took out the Solrock, and Lunatone used Calm Mind
I dealt as much damage as I could to the Lunatone, but Lunatone took out Ray/Manectric
I had a Wailmer at the time and had to switch out to it, which died to Lunatone's Psychic as well.
Being a Dark type, Bandito took out Lunatone since all it had was Psychic
Then I caught Bully.

I don't know about Slakoth since I loathe Truant, but I've been running with 4 Pokemon the entire run, so I can't afford to be picky now.
