The player will enter a maze but the maze isn't what it seems as the actual maze the player has to navigate isn't visible to the player. The more trainers the player battles the more clearer the actual route becomes.
The trainers would introduce themselves pointing out inconsistencies in the pokemon lore and paradoxes
The Gym leader would look like a mix between the Riddler from batman and stereotypical magicians
