I once had a battle with just my Lanturn VS opponent's Talonflame at the end. My Lanturn had enough HP to survive the Talonflame's Brave Bird but the fucker managed to get a crit and KO'ed Lanturn then died from recoil. I thought "first draw game I ever got" but suddenly the results screen shows that the opponent had won. How is this fair? Taking damage in return is the cost you pay for using recoil moves and self destruct moves and yet it still rewards you even if your Pokemon dies. I recall in Pokemon Stadium these moves and Destiny Bond made you lose if it's your last Pokemon.
