Anyways, incoming tl;dr:
When I was in middle school, my mom and I were taking care of our neighbor's son's shitbull while he was in jail or something, and the dog came to live with us for a while. He became besties with one of our dogs, and despite being one of "those breeds", he was just a big dumb love bug who loved belly rubs and slept on my bed. But he did have those violent retard tendencies deep down; anytime a Mexican guy would by our house, he'd go nuts, and we'd have to tie him to the fence to make sure he wouldn't go after them (weird, I know, but we lived in the slummy end of town, so this kind of thing wasn't abnormal because it was always the Mexicans stealing people's shit). Well, one day, I was outside playing with the dogs, and I'd been the one to tie him up. One of the illegal immigrant dudes who lived down the street came walking by, and the dog flipped his shit and tried to go after him. But I hadn't tied him right, and he managed to get free and bite the dude on the hand. Long story short, the dude's family called the cops, and despite the dude quite literally saying he wouldn't so long as we paid his medical bills (which MY MOM did, not my neighbor), my neighbor ended up putting the dog down so the dude "wouldn't press charges". They didn't tell us, who had basically owned him for almost a year, until after they killed him. I cried for days, because it was pretty much my fault that he died. Still kinda fucks me up to this day.
