Gen 3 had about the right amount of story imo, it was more than the literally nothing of Gens 1+2, but didn't feel the need to stop you with textdumps every time you took three steps. What few characters there were were memorable without even needing to say all the much. Bumping into Steven or May/Brendan or even Scott was fun, it didn't make me groan the way seeing Cheren/Bianca for the millionth time does, knowing that you're gonna spend the next half hour spamming A through dull monologues. N was the only one I liked. Should have just cut the rest desu
