>>50047872I don't really like the decrease in hours, but to be frank, if reducing the amount of time won't increase players playing together and will in fact actually cause players to quit, then the end is nigh for the game. Such a playerbase is inherently toxic to the point of the game, aka walking around and doing things with friends. If decreasing the time availability of something like community day outright makes players quit or spoof, then the game will never be able to sustain the fun it had back in 2018-2019, let alone 2016.
If this is true, then the game is a sinking ship and no changes will ever make it fun for the veterans of the game. The only people that could ever enjoy it are people that only play the game to get Pokémon to send to Home and whales that want to brag about digital creatures on Reddit. Niantic could make changes to compromise, like make community days envelop the weekend to have the featured Pokémon spawn at a rare rate, it would be no where near enough to satisfy the community.
