I don't think that Nintendo is happy with the situation, we have already seen in the past that they don't like shitstorms in the community. You also have to take into account that many were waiting for the release of shield and sword to buy a Switch. I believe they will still sell around 10-12 million copies, which would not be a particularly satisfying result for Nintendo.
