Skrelp /would/ use Aqua Tail, if he knew exactly what he was supposed to be hitting with it. All he sees in front of him is nothing but the space Chandelure once occupied. That is, until he turns around.
"Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....~"
Skrelp blinks, that candelabra nigga was over there a moment ago, and now he's over here humming his dead heart out. There's no doubt in his mind that technology beyond his comprehension is at work here, presumably some kind of teleportation wizardry.
"Skrelllllll..."
Science is amazing, especially when you don't understand it.
Skrelp charges after Chandelure, aiming on wiping out his chain with an Aqua Tail. Once again, Chandelure does not seem perturbed at all by the thought of incoming damage, and that makes you feel hot and bothered.

Just as Skrelp gets close enough to land Aqua Tail, Chandelure counters with a fierce Fire Spin. He whirls himself around menacingly with the help of his chain, snatching Skrelp and taking him on a ride in the process. While not a powerful move itself, it does trap Skrelp in the fiery vortex, ravaging him again and again for burdening damage.
"Launch and Shadow Ball." Malva orders.
"ChaaaaaaaaannnnnDELURE!"
"S-Skrrrrreeee!"
A sharp jab in the side ends the spin. Skrelp is tossed across the field like a dirty rag but is given no time to recover. Chandelure jumps to charging a hasty barrage of Shadow Balls, all intended for Skrelp, before hoisting himself up again into the smoke up above.
"Deluuuuuureeee...~"
"What the... WHY WON'T IT STAY STILL!?!?!? S-Sh...SHENANIGANS!"
