Yes also 08/09 one of the times I wish I could go back. Last year of high school was in a long term relationship but she's happy now, marry and has a son with him. We both had our issues that attributed to the relationship ending. Fondest memory in gen4 was trying to shiny reset for a Giratina. Finally getting it at her place when I was over. Platinum was also what got me back into pok emon after skipping all of gen 3. Starting gen 4 with Platinum. Giratina my favorite legend. Also gen 4 had the best fucking events for pokemon in general.
