Pokemon pre Gen VI (debatably VII if we only include XY) had no real "bad game".Its not like that anymore. If you are an actual fan of pokemon you will dread playing the modern entries as they stand against everything that made pokemon good to begin with(interesting pokemon designs and lore, exploration and actually CATCHING THEM ALL)
