If you grabbed a genuinely smart individual who’s good at strategic games who just so happens to have no/minimal experience with Pokémon and asked them to beat Cynthias final team with a team of their choice so long as they’re level 85 across the board, they would very likely get their ass kicked. Basically no child could beat her, this is clearly an acknowledgment of the long term fanbase and I think that’s extremely commendable and warrants praise even if the game is bad overall
