Picked this project back up after pretty much an year, finished Gold and started Silver right after - rushed through it the past day. I could barely believe the Onyx I managed to catch in Union Cave, but the Scyther was too much. After that, I didn't even bother to catch too many extra Pokémon, and the game was a breeze. Whatever those two couldn't deal with, my big lizard ice punched and surfed to death.
Now, randomized encounters in Crystal - this time I'll be going all the way to Red.
