>>49096791>MarlonA tag battle; Marlon - Duskull, Cacnea, Swoobat; grunt - Sableye and Shiftry. You can do this fight with a partner, Jax, or opt to fight it by yourself.
I decided to do this fight with Jax, to test out the AI's new capabilities in team battles. And...ehhh. I lead Herdier to get off Intimidate then just whittle down Sableye, while Jax...starts spamming Mirror Move with his Staravia, to use the enemies' Will-o-Wisps and Torments against them. Very helpful. After Sableye died, Mawile cleaned up Shiftry, and it was relatively simple to 2v1 Marlon's team, though he bizarrely ended up swapping around a lot.
Will get to the Dark gym leader tomorrow, Pignite will be of great help with its multiple S-tier stats. Clefairy...I'll get Clefable before I tackle it, but an E- in both Def and SpA is very disappointing.
>>49097091She's definitely one of the harder gyms. Best bet really is to just hit the Emolgas as fast and hard as you can then try to shift to more bulky mons once the Volt Switching wears you down. Krokorok, Palpitoad, Boldore, or just decently bulky Normal types like Audino or Herdier with Return can help out a lot, and you do have the Eviolite.
>>49097590There's no need for multiple ice or ghost types in late game Sinnoh, especially frail ones. You have a really good team for the E4 already though, so I wouldn't worry too much. Could either slap one of the aforementioned mons or something generically strong like Gyarados or even something like Magnezone when Cynthia's Milotic becomes a concern.
>>49097778>>49097200F. I imagine le Johto level curve is not going to be kind on that crazy of a randomizer, too, since you could just run into a level 25 or so Uber that wipes you out. Grind probably won't be fun either
