1) Actually pretty strong or at least competent
2) NOT gay
[optional] 3) Evil, or at least morally gray
Anime has long since turned me into a sucker for a pretty boy character that can actually fight. Griffith for example, or Frieza. This would extend to something like an arrogant male Meowscarada. I like the whole looks can be deceiving aspect of it.
Couldn't care less about super butch looking females though. That's not quite reverse trap. Only examples I can think of are characters like Miss Monday from One Piece, where it's a chick with a manly physique. That doesn't strike me the same way at all. So a female Machamp would just be kind of weird.
