Never say never, although I agree with you it's not likely. They clearly don't destroy everything, otherwise we wouldn't have the Gen III carts that have already surfaced. I think the only shit they actually "destroyed" was the mass produced distro carts for GameStop etc, which were only used in Gen IV and V.
If the thousands upon thousands of "destroyed" DS distro carts were never saved from that Chinese recycling plant several years back, we'd never have all those carts still floating around on eBay on a daily basis.
