If they're properly stored, then they're safe, it's not like they'll degrade in quality by just existing. If you just want them to be safe in plastic you can always pop them into a perfect fit and get one of picrel. And they'll be perfectly fine as they are, and then if you ever decide to sell them and wanna squeeze out all the value you can get, then you can get them graded on per-need basis.
