went back and played gens 2-3 a year or two ago and enjoyed my time (Emerald's my favorite now)
I only played Shield/Scarlet because I managed to pirate them, and the latter was only due to it leaking early and me being there when it did. Would not play either one again if I had a gun to my head, same goes for gen 7. I have no idea how I stomached 3 fucking playthroughs of Alola near launch.
