Reminder to Gym Leaders it's very useful to keep track of all your matches. Something as simple as a text doc with each match in a line like this:

1. Jul 15 Ryan3282 LOSEs 0-2 Ampharos, Dragonite, Charizard

(I also liked to jot down which 3 worked best, to have a reference for a rematch.)
You'll be glad you kept a record! It comes in handy a lot.
