Now, before you go and judge me for all of this, you have to understand that Mina is incredibly different from your typical Pheromosa and stands out strongly from her brethren. For one thing, she is incredibly smart for an insectoid, let alone a Pheromosa. She has proven to be an incredible knowledge sponge and has worked hard to learn as much about the world as she possible can; I admit that I thought maybe teaching her how to read would help her to survive as a Pokémon disguised as a human, but she proved to be such a fast learner that she was easily reading on her own in mere days of teaching her basic reading concepts. As of right now, her overall intelligence is greater than that of the average human, and it has helped me tremendously in being able to interact with her. Furthermore, in an effort to foster better communication between the two of us, she went so far as to teach herself how to speak English by paying careful attention to how my own mouth moved when I talked; she still has a slight raspy accent due to the arrangement of her mouth’s mandible structures, but she is otherwise perfectly understandable.
