I'm still half-convinced that they changed Ilima and Mina's type specialties halfway through development

You're not wrong, but Ilima already had a Smeargle
It's possible that early on, Mina was intended to be a normal type trainer and Ilima was supposed to be fairy, but they swapped them midway through development for some reason. I like her as a fairy type trainer, though, so I'm glad for the change

It isn't about Mina, I personally just don't like having a stamina limit over my head that I'm always reminded of-- it just isn't something I'm cool with and why most other gacha games put me off. I'm glad most other anons seem satisfied with the improvements to the game, but I'm probably going to just quit over it. I'll wait to see if Palkia can be 5/5 20/20'd and decide, but I won't get my hopes up.
