If it did have feathers on significant portions on the body, parts of its body would still be scaly--as in birds. It wouldn't be extraordinary for T. rex to have feathers since feathers have been found in other tyrannosauroids, but there isn't any hard evidence for T. rex itself to have feathers. Maybe it had feathers when it was young, maybe it only had some feathers for ornamentation or other purposes, maybe it was fully feathered. We don't know. We may never know.
Also, the feathers probably resembled the feathers of a ratite more than the average flighted bird: hairlike and bristly.
