I like how the Crystal Battle Tower lets you choose your level cap, and think this feature should've stuck around for better replay value. XY Battle Maison is just the most fully featured. It has all the playable formats, you can take breaks between battles, change the BGM, team up with friends in co-op etc. Lots of good quality of life, and the last time we had all battle systems available in a game.

There's nothing else in pokemon like the survival test in the Batlle Pyramid or the 1v1 Arena Battles with the "Judge" mechanic. Even the PWT is simplified compared to Battle Dome, where the CPUs will all change their roster based on yours (and you can see their strategies on the tourney bracket).
