>>13574631>>Cont'd....*Gym leaders actually sport a team of 6 Pokemon now, all of which don't have to be a certain type. Three gym leaders have a unrelated type of Pokemon that works well with their gimmick/strategy.
*After every gym battle you will be asked if you'd like to teach their special move to one of your Pokemon. No more tm handouts, but instead the leader acts as a move tutor npc.
*Once you have beaten the 8 gym leaders there is a rather large sub-plot that unfolds before you can access the Pokemon League.
*The Pokemon League oddly enough doesn't have a champion as it is newly established in this region. (The league is actually under construction as the game progresses as can be seen on the town map) Only after completing a certain post-game event does a champion appear after the elite 4. I won't spoil who (or what ;) the champion is)
*x and y have the largest post-game area out of any of the previous gens. I would go as far as to call it another region, but in-game it is still refered to as Kalos. Its populated by Pokemon from every gen and the wild Pokemon are very high leveled.
