In all seriousness, while I’m pretty sure everyone and their mom expected this, isn’t it kinda crazy to think about? Do the staff think Dynamax is THAT shit? Ash hasn’t used his dmax ring since episode 13. And now they’re giving him a mega, which he will probably use in every major fight from now on. We haven’t seen ANY dynamax at all since episode 45.
I was assuming that Owada was taking the animation staff back to the drawing board on it and thats why we hadn’t seen it(you can’t convince me carizard arc wasn’t scrapped), but it genuinely seems like they want to move away from it.
Now, we do know that Ash will be using Gmax Gengar against Bea, and likely Mega Lucario as well, but its honestly really surprising to see.
What do you guys think? Is it a good idea? Personally I hate Dynamax so I welcome it, but its really shocking that they are literally walking away from this gen’s mechanic
