>>36857937It felt like a long hiatus at the time, but in retrospect it wasn't. My older brother said Pokémon was lame and gay and as a very small child I went with whatever he said so I dropped it, too. In actuality I stopped playing halfway through second gen until halfway through third gen.
Ironically he now plays Pokémon even more than I do!
