It was my uncle's funeral over the weekend, and after he had been cremated we went to his wife's plot at the crematorium
and sprinkled the ashes. It wasnt very windy, so they mostry gathered in a small pile on the grass. We were all standing around ther and i thick it was my mother who said "does anyone want to say a few words*, His daughter was too upset and it didnt look like anyone else was going to, so i stepped up. I put my hand out and held it over
the pile of ashes. "Arceus... guide this one, to where the traveler never tires, the lover never leaves, the hungry never starve. Guide this one, Arceus, and he shall be a companion to you as he was to me". Some of them commented that it was nice, and honestly, it's the first time some of my relatives have ever looked at me with anything resembling approval... and all because i memorised a line from a Pokémon game.
