>>53133933>Niantic evidently hate it, they hate working on it, they hate people who enjoy it, they hate everything about it.I think it's primarily because it's not their own IP, not just for business reasons, but for personal reasons. It seems like a lot of artists and designer in the mainstream are especially bitter about their roles in their respective industry because they lack the inspiration that especially-talented individuals possess, so they end up having to work on remakes/reboots for old, tired-out properties instead of their own (likely mediocre or bad) passion projects. If Peridot replaced the success Pokémon GO had for them, I believe they'd be more likely to put at least some heart into the game 5 years after launch.
>>53133936>>53134724If they pull the plug, they starve. That's probably the worst part of it all to them, since it ironically seems like they have the same relationship with Pokémon GO that a spoiled brat/NEET has with their helicopter parents. They want to cut all ties with them, because they hate for what they stand for, but they can't because they are at least aware that they are no where near as competent as they are in the base levels of society, and therefore will get squashed before their "potential" is truly realized.
