I honestly can't remember how Sneasel became my bro; it wasn't until Third Gen that I actually started using him.
I think it was for the fact that ??? turned up with one back in Gold and I had no idea what it was actually was and where to get it until trudging up Mount Silver.
I think what initially drew me towards Sneasel was the bandit feeling it had going on; what with the Dark type and the claws. My ten year old edgy self ate that shit up.
I ended up trying Sneasel out on the Gen 3 equivalent to Showdown, and watching it get slaughtered. I think I built up an Underdog feeling for him because of no stab and getting slaughtered by Fighting, which grew to bro levels the more I used him.
Ever since then, I've always had a Sneasel on my team (even if I had to import) nicknamed Charles; a posh name to juxtapose the bandit aesthetics. I always fail to evolve him because Weavile just doesn't shape up.
