More recently I also tried to use a subreddit for a niche thing since it's the most active community for it, but they were absolutely not my people, and if I told them what I thought of their casual, moronic opinions, I would have been banned, not for gamer words, but because it was a place where you have to at least pretend to respect others' thoughts. I wasn't about to, so I left.
Reddit is a good site for troubleshooting and research, not so much for casually browsing and posting on. Wouldn't recommend.
