>>50381541Same here. I've been tinkering with my own fakedex for a long time now, but I'm stuck at around 30 mons because I keep wanting to redesign/scrap old ones because I don't like them anymore. I wanna get to 150 at some point but I kinda doubt I'll ever get there.
As for how I get my ideas, usually for me it's "man this animal is fucking rad, I'd love if there was a pokemon based on it", but I always try to incorporate at least some kind of secondary theme to it, so it's not literally just animal+element. Pic related is my fire starter, I've posted it here before. Sure it's just a fire type komodo dragon, but I zoned in on the poisonous saliva often dripping from their mouths, and turned this into dripping magma instead, which becomes more and more pronounced as it evolves. Or my water starter, which is a seal that becomes progressively more human-shaped as it evolves, based on selkies. Not just a seal that becomes a bigger/stronger seal. I made it water/fairy, but this was before S/M came out with Primarina, so that was unfortunate. Might change it to be water/psychic instead but I don't know.
